Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the questions guests ask most, before and during a stay.
Booking & Payments
What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is at 4:00 PM and check-out is before 10:00 AM.
Early check-in or late check-out is not guaranteed. If you would like to request it, contact the manager at +1 (442) 245-7289. Requests are subject to availability and approval.
What is the cancellation and refund policy?
Our cancellation policy is firm and mirrors our Airbnb listing:
- 30 or more days before check-in: full refund of all amounts paid.
- Within 30 days of check-in (or no-show): no refund.
The 5% reservation deposit follows the same policy.
When am I charged, and how do payments work?
Direct booking is simple and secure. Payments are handled by Stripe and we never see your full card number.
- A 5% reservation deposit is charged when you complete your booking, and your card is saved securely.
- The remaining balance is automatically charged 7 days before check-in, so any card issue can be resolved calmly before your trip.
- Booking direct saves roughly 10% compared with the Airbnb guest-facing price.
Do you have a referral program?
Yes. When booking, enter the email of the past guest who referred you (they must be a registered guest). Once your booking is confirmed, the referrer earns a 5% credit toward their next stay, valid for 12 months and applied automatically at checkout.
Only one 5% discount can be applied per booking. Credits do not stack.
House Rules
What are the house rules?

- Quiet hours are 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM.
- The booking guest must be at least 25 years old and present for the stay.
- Pool gates, fences, and alarms must stay operational at all times.
Are pets allowed?
Pets are not permitted by default, but may be requested. Please contact the manager at +1 (442) 245-7289 for approval before booking.
Around the House
Where is the switch for the front bedroom's ceiling fan?
The switch for the front bedroom's ceiling fan is in the front entryway, under the black acrylic sign that points to which switch to use.
Do you provide charcoal?
We do not provide stocked charcoal, however often prior guests leave extra behind. Please help yourself to whatever you find by the barbecues.
What should we do with any packages that are delivered to the house?
Please leave any packages that may be delivered to the house in the garage. The packages will be delivered most often to the front door, but sometimes will be left by the white gate leading to the pool.
The Wi-Fi or internet isn't working. What should I do?
Please do not touch, unplug, or reset the router or any of the Wi-Fi nodes. The home runs a professionally managed Netgear mesh network, and adjusting it can disrupt the whole system.
Just contact Guest Support at +1 (442) 245-7289 and we will resolve it right away, often remotely within minutes.
How do I heat the pool, and what temperatures can I expect?
Pool heating is available by request for $100 per day. Please request it at least 24 hours before arrival.
The heat pump draws warmth from the outside air, so it has limits in cooler weather. When the air is below about 60°F the pool may only reach around 75°F, and during December and January it may not exceed 80°F even with prolonged heating. In mild conditions it comfortably reaches the low 80s.
Please do not adjust any pool equipment or valves yourself. If anything seems off, contact Guest Support at +1 (442) 245-7289.
How do I turn on the outdoor glass firepit?
The built-in igniter is currently disabled, so you will light it by hand. It is simple once you know the sequence:
- Remove the protective box cover and open the propane tank valve by turning it counterclockwise.
- Have a lighter, long match, or a small twist of paper towel ready.
- Push the gas knob in and rotate it 90° counterclockwise until you hear gas, then immediately bring your flame to the perforated metal tube.
- Once lit, release the knob slowly and adjust the flame to your liking.
- Always turn off the propane tank when you are finished.
A spare propane tank is in the garage. Please never leave the firepit unattended and avoid using it in high wind or rain.
The jacuzzi tub in the master suite won't stay full. What do I do?
Check the silver drain knob on the side of the tub, across from the faucet. Turn it left to close the drain and right to open it.
If the stopper is missing or not sealing, use one of the rubber drain stoppers provided in the suite. Press it firmly over the drain and test with a little water. If it still drains, contact Guest Support at +1 (442) 245-7289.
Only run the jets once the water covers all of them, and please do not overfill the tub.
